FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If there’s one word to describe the past few months for supporters of Fort Wayne’s downtown area, it’s “momentum.”

There’s a public celebration set for January 28th to take note of a busy time for the downtown area, full of growth and new projects, ranging from the announcement of a developer for the Ash Skyline Plaza to the awarding of $42-million in Regional Cities funding as part of the region’s “Road to One Million” Plan.

Megan Butler, events manager for the Downtown Improvement District, tells the Journal Gazette a free event called “Celebrate Downtown” will be held at the Cinema Center on East Berry Street that will not only acknowledge those successes but announce the district’s plans for 2016.

If you’d like to attend, RSVP here.
