Record-Breaking Weather in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The temperatures may be hot here in northeast Indiana, but they're breaking records in central Indiana. The National Weather Service said the high of 96 recording in Indy Tuesday afternoon broke the previous record high for the date of 95 back in 1983. Because of the hot weather, some area schools have even had to cancel outdoor events. The Beech Grove City Schools in Indy and the Mount Vernon Community School Corporation east of the capitol canceled all outdoor sports practices because of concerns over the heat.
