Replacement Named for Ousted Grissom Commander

PERU, Ind. (AP): Military officials have named a new commander for northern Indiana's Grissom Air Reserve Base, replacing the base leader who was removed from the position in March during an investigation of his job performance. Grissom officials say the Air Force Reserve has appointed Col. Douglas Schwartz to command the 434th Air Refueling Wing at the base near the city of Peru. Schwartz has been the 927th Air Refueling Wing commander at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida.
