Rescue Mission Asks you to Skip A Meal

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A local charity is asking you to Skip A Lunch, but its not to count calories.

The Rescue Mission says using the money you spend from one meal – about $5, can feed three people.

They are encouraging the community to send the money they'd spend for a lunch to their ministry.

Richard Cummins with the Mission says, forgoing a meal, helps individuals understand what its like to be hungry.

If you are downtown you are invited to go to a time of prayer over the lunch hour at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church.

While there you can pick up an envelope and get a t-shirt while supplies last.
