Rising Healthcare Costs

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Indiana’s Medicaid costs are projected to grow significantly over the next decade, with per-person costs expected to jump by 43% for low-income residents and a steep 72% for the elderly.

To manage the rising expenses, the state is implementing a number of measures, including reducing administrative contracts and ending some funding programs.

Indiana is also seeking federal funding and waiting for approval on reforms to the Healthy Indiana Plan.
