Riverfront Development Projects Get $526,000 Boost

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Plans for riverfront development in downtown Fort Wayne are getting a big cash boost.

The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne has approved $526,000 in grants for riverfront development. $500,000 of those funds will be used for demolishing and site preparation of the property located at the northeast corner of Harrison and Superior Streets. The property will be used for parking until its ultimate use is determined. 

A $26,000 was also awarded to the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society to help with its feasibility study for Headwaters Junction.
