Robbery Arrest Involving Barricaded Suspect

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): This morning, just before 10:30, Fort Wayne police got a call about an armed robbery at the CVS Pharmacy on East State Boulevard.

According to CVS Employees, the suspect, Tondra Lampkin, entered the store and handed the cashier a note demanding prescription narcotics. She said she had a gun, but a weapon was never displayed. The suspect then left the pharmacy with an unknown amount of prescription narcotics.

Witnesses said the suspect ran to a nearby apartment complex. Once officers tracked her down, she refused to come out.

That’s when emergency teams arrived on the scene. They breached a window of the suspect’s apartment and that’s when she exited the apartment peacefully.

Lampkin is facing a preliminary charge of robbery.
