FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A local athletic conference is welcoming two new member schools.

Homestead and Carroll high schools have accepted an invitation to join the Summit Athletic Conference.  Both schools confirmed this morning will join as provisional members for the 2015-16 season. Full membership could come in 2017. The move is for football and boys and girls basketball.

The SAC is currently made up of Bishop Luers, Bishop Dwenger, Concordia, North Side, South Side, Snider, Northrop and Wayne.
