AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): Saying goodbye to a DeKalb County leader. Car dealer and community leader Ben Davis will be laid to rest this afternoon.

Davis died Friday in Fort Wayne.

Before becoming owner of Ben Davis Chevrolet in 1980, he worked in the banking industry and at several Fort Wayne car dealerships. He later owned Ben Davis Ford. He also served in Auburn government on the plan commission and board of zoning.

Davis was 77.
