Shuttered Indiana RV Company Auctioning Inventory

ELKHART, Ind. (AP) — A northern Indiana maker of recreational vehicles that recently shuttered its operations is auctioning off the company's remaining inventory.

Monaco Coach had been a major producer of travel trailers and fifth-wheel recreational vehicles. The company closed its 200,000-square-foot Elkhart plant last month, idling 85 workers.

The South Bend Tribune reports that Tuesday's liquidation sale will be held at the Elkhart plant site and includes sufficient inventory to run production for weeks.

Items to be sold include work-in-progress RVs, finished RVs, flat-screen TVs, Blue-ray home theater systems and six-gallon water heaters. The site also includes a large amount of plumbing fixtures, microwaves, windows and doors of various sizes.

A preview of the items for sale will be held Monday.
