South Bend Makes its Movie Debut in ‘Swan Song’

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ The mayor of South Bend says he doesn't plan to give away the plot of a movie shot partly in his city even though the filmmaker has given him two copies of his screenplay.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg says he plans to keep copies of John Hancock's “Swan Song'' in his office until the LaPorte resident's film debuts.

Hancock says South Bend is a “great place to make a movie.''

The South Bend Tribune reports the film stars Hancock's wife, Dorothy Tristan, as a former actress dealing with symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.

Hancock's production company is producing the film for about $300,000.
