Stolen car fleeing police hits Indianapolis home; 3 hurt

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Authorities say at least three people were injured after a stolen car fleeing police in Indianapolis collided with another vehicle, flipped and crashed into a home.

Indianapolis police say officers on patrol Tuesday night spotted the stolen car and tried to stop it, but the driver fled. In a statement, police say they pursued the car for less than a mile when the driver ran a stop sign and was hit by the other vehicle.

One person in the stolen car was ejected and two others fled. Police say the driver of the vehicle that hit the stolen car was taken to a hospital along with her young son. Police say the 17-year-old boy ejected from the stolen vehicle was in critical condition.
