Attempted robbery suspect arrested at Dollar General in Leo-Cedarville

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was arrested Wednesday morning in connection to an attempted armed robbery at a Dollar General store in Leo-Cedarville.

Police were called to the store on the 14500 block of Amstutz Road around 8:30 a.m., according to our news partners at 21Alive.

Police say a man armed with a gun entered the store then demanded cash.
Someone in the store called 911 and left the line open so dispatchers could hear the robbery, 21Alive reported.

A off-duty officer and two on-duty Allen County Sheriff‘s deputies arrested the suspect when he tried to leave the store.

The name of the suspect has not been released and no injuries were reported.
