Suspect Shot Dead by Police South of Indianapolis


  FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) _ Police south of Indianapolis have shot and killed a suspect.
 
  Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox confirms the death of the suspect in a rural area of the county Wednesday afternoon. The shooting occurred near Indiana 44 about six miles west of Franklin.
 
  The name of the person who was killed hasn't been released.
 
  WTHR-TV reports police had received a call about a suspicious person and when officers arrived, they exchanged fire with the suspect.
