SWACS Considers Pay Raise for School Workers

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Enrollment increases for a local school district could mean a pay raise for staff members.

The Southwest Allen County Schools board is considering a one percent increase for full and part-time classified non-teaching staff members. According to the Journal-Gazette, school officials say it would add $44,000 to the bottom line.

Classified workers got a 2.1 percent raise last year. The board is expected to vote at the next meeting.
