Fort Wayne’s Berry is Back in State Office

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man who once served as state auditor and treasurer is back in state office.

Tim Berry will become the Director of Financial Institutions for the state of Indiana on June 8th, according to Governor Mike Pence. Berry will replace Dennis Basset, who is moving on to become the Indiana Finance Authority's public finance director.

Berry was most recently the state chairman of the Indiana Republican Party.

Pence also named Indiana Gaming Commission general counsel Sara Tait as its new executive director, effective Monday. She replaces Ernest Yelton, who is retiring.
