Teens injured in Allen County crash

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Two teen boys are injured, but somehow alive, after a crash in rural Allen County that split their vehicle in half.

Our news partners at ABC21 report the crash happened Monday night in a wooded area near Schlatter Road. The boys’ white Lexus had gone off the road, hit a utility pole, and ended up splitting in half after the impact.

Neighbors said they heard an explosion after the crash, which knocked out power in the area momentarily.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says they’re still investigating the cause of the crash. The boys are in critical condition at an area hospital.
