The Glynn Hines Back to School Fatherhood Initiative

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Continuing our WOWO back-to-school series, in an effort to get fathers more involved in their kids' education, a recently re-established organization is hosting a back to school event. The Fort Wayne Commission on African American Males will hold The Glynn Hines Back to School Fatherhood Initiative next Saturday, the 17th at the McMillen Community Center from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. They will give backpacks and supplies to the first 250 fathers or male mentors who sign up to take the Fatherhood Initiative pledge, which calls for dads to take their kids to the first day of school or stay involved during the school year. There will also be free food and haircuts at the event!
