FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Spring’s status may still be tenuous at best, but baseball is still right around the corner for Fort Wayne, as the TinCaps will hold their 2018 home opener on April 7th.
With that in mind, the team will be holding a pair of events soon to get people out to Parkview Field.
First, the team will host their annual Parkview Field Open House on Saturday, March 31st from 11am to 1pm. Free behind-the-scenes tours will be available to showcase the venue that has been rated Minor League Baseball’s best ballpark experience four straight years.
The team will also have “Meet the Team Night” on April 4th, starting at 5pm. Fans will have an opportunity to meet this year’s roster, which will be finalized and announced by the San Diego Padres by April 1st.
The TinCaps’ 10th season at Parkview Field begins Saturday, April 7th at 6:05pm against the Lake County Captains. The first 2,000 fans will also get a free TinCaps Lunch Box, courtesy of Parkview.
