Trial Continues For Drexel Ave. Shooting Suspects

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The trial of two men accused in having a role in a September shooting say they have an alibi.

The defense attorneys for Kulon Lewis Jr. and Treyshawn Pernell argued both were somewhere else at the time of a shooting on Drexel Avenue. The Journal Gazette reports that testimony from Lewis' girlfriend says he was at her cousin's home until 10 or 11 p.m. that night, and he never left her side expect for a 10 minute window. Additional testimony from a teenager said Pernell was at his home.

On September 4th, 2014, two men shot Dytrell Allen, leaving him paralyzed. Both Lewis and Pernell were charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery and using a firearm.
