Trial Underway for Second Suspect in Ambulance Shooting

The trial of a 23-year-old Fort Wayne man is underway; Dontay Martin is facing nine felony charges in connection to the shooting of an ambulance, following a September stabbing at Piere’s Nightclub.    

According to a probable cause filed against Martin, he was suspected of firing at the ambulance carrying a stabbing victim.

Shots were also fired by 24-year-old Traneilous Jackson. He pleaded guilty on January 28th to seven of nine counts.

A jury was selected for Martin’s trial on Monday and the trial will continue Tuesday in Judge John Surbeck’s court.
