Trooper Memorial Marker to be Unveiled in Gary

GARY, Ind. (AP): Indiana State Police say they will place a memorial marker for a fallen trooper Saturday along Interstate 80 in Gary. Trooper Scott Patrick was shot and killed in the line of duty on Dec. 22, 2003, after being was dispatched to assist a stranded motorist at the Grant Street exit from I-80 in Gary. The unveiling of the marker will mark the 10th anniversary of Patrick's death.
