Truck Driver Rescued From Allen County Flood Waters

Rescue crews saved a cable installer who drove his truck into high waters near the

St. Marys River.  This morning around 10:15 a.m., a DirecTV employee was driving on

South County Line Road. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, the driver

passed a “Closed Road” sign, driving into high water. About two-thirds into the stretch of

road, the truck got stuck.

Fire department crews rode a small boat out to the stranded truck and rescued the driver.

In the meantime, crews are trying to figure out a way to get a tow out to the truck, to get

it out of the water.
