WASHINGTON, DC (WOWO) Donald Trump became only the second President in United States History to earn two non-consecutive terms. On Monday, he was sworn in as the Nation’s 47th President in a noon time ceremony in the Rotunda of the Capitol.

In both his speech following the ceremony and a marathon session signing executive orders, Trump made very clear that he was going to make good on promises made during the campaign to change the course the Nation had taken for four years under the Biden-Harris Administration.

Among executive orders he signed, taking effect immediately:

President Trump closed the U-S Southern Border, declaring an emergency and ordered the deployment of U.S. Troops to secure the border. And he ended birthright citizenship for non U.S. citizens.

President Trump also revoked the security clearance of more than 50 intelligence officials who lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

He also took a sledgehammer to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, otherwise known as DEI, effectively ending that practice at the Federal level. DEI was a key initiative of both former Presidents Obama and Biden.

More executive orders are expected in the coming days.
