Four Saved In Angola Duplex Fire

ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): Four people were saved after a fire erupted in their Angola duplex.

The fire broke out at the duplex on West Broad Street at North Elizabeth Street at about 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Angola firefighters found heavy fire and only half of the people in the duplex were outside. Officers with the Angola Police Department had to go into the other half of the duplex to wake the four people living there up and get them out to safety.

Two people were hurt as a result, including an Angola firefighter who had to be treated at a nearby hospital for a leg injury.

It's unknown how much damage the fire caused.
