One killed in I-69 DeKalb County crash

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Two people were hurt, one fatally, after a head-on crash on Interstate 69 near the Dekalb and Steuben County Line Friday afternoon.

According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the crash happened at about 2:30pm at mile marker 339 when a sedan driven southbound by an Auburn man suddenly crossed the median and slammed into a northbound car, driven by a woman from Michigan.

Both vehicles were total losses. The man was airlifted from the scene with critical injuries, but later died. The woman was taken to an area hospital with internal injuries.
