UPDATE: Advisories Being Issued due to Hazardous Roads

INDIANA, (WOWO): It’s being recommend by several county officials that residents within the majority of the WOWO listening area stay home this morning due to drifting and blowing snow.

Some roads are impassable and are down to one lane or less in certain sports, including on state highways.

As of right now, these are the following counties under Travel Advisories:

Grant County is now under a TRAVEL WATCH.

Allen County is under a Winter Weather Travel Advisory.

An advisory level travel restriction is in place for Whitley County. That means travel on county roadways at places maybe impassable. Extra caution when traveling on county roadways is being advised at this time.

Steuben County under a Snow WATCH Level.

Wabash County is under a Travel Warning until further notice.

DeKalb County is also under a Level 2 Travel Watch. That means conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. Only essential travel is recommended (i.e. to and from work, emergency situations, etc.). Emergency action plans have been or should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies and other organizations.
