FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne fire crews are still on the scene of a house fire at 7201 Miahqueah Court near Bear Paw Drive. Three people were inside at the time of the blaze, but were already self-evacuated before firefighters arrived.

Once crews got to scene, just before 9:30 a.m., they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. While crews were working the fire a partial roof collapse forced them to evacuate. They were able to extinguish a big portion of the fire from the outside, but firefighters still remain on the scene. They are also still trying to figure out how the fire got started.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross is being called to assist the family.
