UPDATED: Buffalo Herd Roaming Kosciusko County Rounded Up

UPDATE: The herd of buffalo have been rounded up and returned to the farm.


PIERCETON, Ind. (WOWO): A herd of roaming buffalo are being wrangled in Kosciusko County.

A concerned home owner first called police when she saw buffalo walking across her yard around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday night. In all around 19 buffalo and 5 bison were grouped together and made their way off a property and headed towards the roadway.

Police tell WOWO News animal control and police are still in the area of SR 13 north of Old Road 30 in Pierceton as they try to either wrangle the buffalo into a trailer or heard them back to the property.
