FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that has left one person in critical condition.</span>

Officers got a call about shots being fired around 12:45 p.m. this afternoon near the intersection of Lillie Street and McKinnie Avenue. A caller reported hearing shots fired in the area, and then saw a man on the ground.  

The victim was taken to a Fort Wayne Fire Station before police arrived. From there he was taken to a local hospital where his condition was downgraded from serious to critical. 

According to police, reports indicate that the suspect, a Hispanic man, ran from the area.

In the meantime, the incident remains under investigation.
