Stranded Kayaker on Tippecanoe River is Rescued

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers along with Tippecanoe River State Park Personnel rescued a kayaker stranded on Tippecanoe River.

Tuesday afternoon, 65-year-old Walt Krzyzak and his wife were kayaking on the Tippecanoe River near the state park when his kayak hit an underwater obstruction and flipped over. Krzyzak was thrown into the river, and was able to hang onto a nearby snag until help arrived. 

People at the park overheard Krzyzak’s cries for help, and called personnel from Tippecanoe <st1:placetype w_st=”on”>River State Park.
