Wanted Fort Wayne man arrested in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): A 20-year-old Fort Wayne man who is accused of shooting a man earlier this month was arrested.

Daquavion Johnson was arrested in Indianapolis on Tuesday. He is charged with murder, carrying a handgun without a license and using a firearm in commission of a crime, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

A warrant was issued for Johnson last week. Police say he is accused of killing 19-year-old Leon-Dre Kyles-Thomas.

On Aug. 13, Johnson was riding his bike near the intersection of Greene and Browser Avenue. At some point he got off his bike and shot at three people, according to witnesses.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found Kyles-Thomas suffering from a gunshot to the chest.

He was hospitalized in critical condition and later died.
