‘Warning Shot’ Sends Man to Allen County Jail

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was sent to the Allen County Jail on Sunday after he was accused of shooting his girlfriend with a “warning shot.”

The Journal Gazette reports 22-year-old Deshawn Vaughn shot off a gun to scare his girlfriend, however, he hit her with the bullet. She went to the hospital the next day with a gunshot wound to her upper arm.

The two were in an argument the previous night at Vaughn's home off the 7600 block of Melody Court. Vaughn admitted to firing a handgun out of anger.
