Warsaw Man Seriously Injured in ATV Crash

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw man was seriously hurt in an ATV crash. It happened around 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in North Webster where 51-year-old David Fugate told investigators he was operating his ATV when it “locked up,” causing the ATV to flip and throw Fugate on the road. He suffered a severely broken arm and other injuries to his legs. Fugate said the ATV landed on his legs, and investigators think he suffered his arm injury when he tried to catch himself as he hit the road. Fugate was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital due to the severity of his broken arm. The exact cause of why his ATV malfunctioned is unknown at this time. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor to the accident.
