Water Boil Order Issued in Nappanee

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A water boil order has been issued for a portion of Nappanee. It's due to a water main leak along W. Market Street. The boil order is in effect for people who live and work along W. Market from Williams to Main Street.

As a precautionary measure, residents are being asked to boil drinking and cooking water for five minutes before using the water.

City leaders say utility workers are proceeding as quickly as possible to correct the leak situation. Once repairs are made, they will begin testing the water for bacteria, but they advise that could take several days.
