Whitley County to Celebrate New Facility

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WOWO): A German orthopedics company is celebrating its first North American facility in Whitley County. Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann will join executives from DOT America Wednesday for a ribbon cutting ceremony in Columbia City. The company is expected to create up to 20 jobs.

DOT America is a division of German-based DOT GmbH. State officials say DOT America is investing about $5 million to establish a 17,520-square-foot facility at the Blue River Industrial Park.

DOT America develops and supplies medical coating treatment technology for the orthopedics industry. The company was founded in 1992.
