More winter weather on the way

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Crews were out in full force Sunday night, fighting Fort Wayne’s first significant snowfall of the season. They worked through the evening to make sure roads were ready for Monday morning’s commute. The roads are clear, but you’re still being encouraged to slow down and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.

Although not a lot of accumulation occurred overnight, we will get an even greater taste of winter this week. National Weather Service Meteorologist Mark Steinwedel tells WOWO News we are in for a bout of bitter cold.

“We’re going to have a really strong cold front come through either Wednesday or earl Thursday and behind that we will really get our first push of colder air, including some below normal temperatures.”

By Friday, the temperatures are expected to be in the 20s.
