Woman Charged Following Death of Child

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Yesterday, Allen County Prosecutors formally charged 22-year-old Saysha Hogue with child neglect after not taking the 11-month-old boy she was babysitting to the hospital when he needed medical care, that according to The Journal Gazette. Reports say several people told Hogue that the boy needed to go to the hospital, but she didn't take him until he was in full cardiac arrest hours later. Once there, he tested positive for methadone and was having seizures. Court documents say, because he didn’t receive care, the baby died the next day. Hogue's being held in the Allen County Jail.
