Trail System Expanding in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Another leg of Fort Wayne's trail system is coming soon.

City officials announced the beginning of work on the Pufferbelly Trail. The path will extend 1.25 miles from Dupont to Carroll Roads.

The $700 thousand dollar project is expected to be completed in September. It is a partnership with the city of Fort Wayne, City Utilities, Allen County government, the Indiana DNR and Fort Wayne Trails.

Ultimately, the trail system would connect south to Quabache State Park in Bluffton and north to Pokagon State Park in Angola.
