Woman Faces OWI Charge After 3-Year-Old Boy Injured

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — A woman faces an OWI charge after a crash Saturday that left a 3-year-old boy injured.

Police say 26-year-old Kyler Jacobs drove off State Road 19 near Sturdy Oak Drive around 2:30 p.m., hitting a utility pole and a tree on the north edge of Simonton Lake.

Both Jacobs and the boy were taken to the hospital.

The child suffered leg pain, and Jacobs had internal bleeding.
