Woman’s Body Discovered at Fort Harrison State Park

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indiana conservation officers and Lawrence police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered in Fort Harrison State Park.
 
Offices say a woman walking her dog along the western outskirts of the park property discovered the body in a wooded area just before noon Wednesday and called 911.
 
The park is located in Lawrence, an enclave on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
 
Additional details about the death investigation were not immediately available.
 
WTHR reports officers have closed off a nearby entrance to the park with crime scene tape.
