NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): The New Haven Baseball Association is suing two former board members after one of them was arrested earlier this week.

42-year-old Michael DeLong was charged with felony theft after an investigation found he had spent $19,000 on the league’s credit card on personal expenses, ranging from gas to a vacation to personal electronics and equipment for his son’s baseball team.

The Journal Gazette reports the Association is now suing DeLong and former board treasurer Tammie Criswell, who allegedly gave her 8-year-old daughter $150 “for payroll” in addition to other related allegations, although no criminal charges have been filed against Criswell.

The scheme has left the Association scrambling to find a way to stay solvent, and a GoFundMe page has been set up to try and help raise enough money to keep the group afloat. Its next season starts April 21st.
