INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded nearly $5.4 million in grants to the owners of two multi-family housing developments in Indiana to convert some units to provide services to some residents.
 
The Laverna Terrace Housing Corp. in the northeastern Indiana town of Avilla will use its $3 million grant to create 31 service-enriched units to assist residents who are unable to perform at least one activity of daily living.
 
In Indianapolis, a development called AHEPA 232 is receiving nearly $2.4 million to convert 24 elderly units into service-enriched units to help residents who need long-term services and support.
