2 Men Shot, 1 Dead, on Indianapolis’ West Side

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Indianapolis police say one man has been fatally shot and another is in critical condition following a double shooting on the city's west side.

Sgt. Kendale Adams says officers responding to reports of a shooting found one man inside a car with a gunshot wound to the head about 4 a.m. Tuesday. That man was later pronounced dead at Eskenazi Hospital.

The second man was found wounded on the porch of a nearby home and police say he's listed in critical condition and is expected to survive.

Adams says police have a person of interest in the shootings, which he says do not appear to be random.

Officers are interviewing witnesses and assessing evidence collected at the scene.
