40-car pileup closes I-70 west of Indianapolis


  BROWNSBURG, Ind. (AP) _ Indiana State Police say a pileup with more than 40 vehicles has closed Interstate 70 in both directions west of Indianapolis
 
  Local news reports say the crash occurred about 2 p.m. in eastbound lanes near the interchange with State Road 267 a few miles west of Indianapolis International Airport.
 
  The Indiana Department of Transportation says all eastbound lanes will be closed until Thursday night. Westbound lanes are expected to be closed until late afternoon. INDOT says eastbound traffic was being diverted at Indiana 39.
 
  The involved vehicles include several semitrailer rigs.
