BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — A 61-year-old Richmond man has been sentenced to three years in prison following an undercover sting operation in Boone County.

Evan Alexander Geeslin was convicted of conspiracy to commit sexual misconduct with a minor after traveling to meet someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

Prosecutor Kent Eastwood says the sentence sends a clear message that child exploitation will not be tolerated, highlighting the operation as a vital tool to stop offenders before they reach a victim.
