INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — An Ohio River cotton mill, an egg-shaped central Indiana swimming pool and a historic northern Indiana church have joined Indiana Landmarks’ list of the state’s 10 Most Endangered places.
The Eagle Cotton Mill in Madison, Anderson Athletic Park Pool and Walkerton Church were among seven new additions to the list that seeks to call attention to preservation needs of historically significant properties.
Other new sites announced Thursday include the Bowen House in Delphi, the Brookview-Irvington Park Historic District and State Boulevard in Fort Wayne, the Flanner House Homes Historic District and Phillips Temple in Indianapolis and the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant Employment Office.
Three sites returned from the 2012 list. They are the Harmony Way Bridge in New Harmony, the Old Clarksville Site in Clarksville and Vincennes’ Pantheon Theatre.
