FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): A man has been sentenced to serve 5 years behind bars for his part in a marijuana growing operation. Jarrod Vroom, 39, pleaded guilty to possessing more than one hundred pot plants.  That according to the Journal Gazette.  In addition to the marijuana charge, Vroom has also been charged with felony rape for allegedly assaulting a mentally impaired woman who has the mental capacity of a 4-year-old.  The woman got pregnant as a result of the encounter.  She gave birth, but the child died while in foster care.  That case is still pending.
