LANSING, MI. (WOWO) — A Lansing mother is demanding answers after her 11-year-old son was expelled for disarming a classmate at school.

According to WLIX Television – The seventh grader reportedly took a gun from another student, disassembled it, and threw away the bullets but waited to inform an adult.

The district has not commented, but the mother says her son acted out of fear and to protect others.
