Tennis Coach’s Daughter Works to Build His Legacy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) _ The daughter of a longtime Homestead High School tennis coach is working to fulfill her father’s dream of creating a new tennis facility for his Fort Wayne community.

Cambi Clark is working to raise money for the outdoor facility that was the dream of her father, Jim Clark. The elder Clark died a year ago of cancer.

Cambi Clark tells The News-Sentinel that her father knew the 10 Homestead courts were getting worn out and didn’t meet United States Tennis Association standards. She says he wanted a place where youngsters could start playing the game and become the next generation of great players.

Clark has gotten support from former Homestead players and Southwest Allen County Schools. A fundraiser June 21 will help raise money for the project.
